David Eugene Reynolds

David Eugene Reynolds, 32, of West Burlington, died at 11:14 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.

Born April 26, 1984, in Burlington, he was the son of Dennis Reynolds and Lisa Roberts.

He graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 2002. 

He served his country in the U.S. Army.

David was the Co-Owner and Operator of Lee's Bait Shop.

He was a member of Crossroads Community Church and was recently baptized on July 31, 2016.  He never knew a stranger; David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and drinking beer but most of all he enjoyed being with his friends and family.

Survivors include his father, Dennis (K.C. Hall) Reynolds of Myrtle Beach, SC; his mother, Lisa (Greg) Duke of West Burlington; three sons, Keegan Reynolds and Kaleb Reynolds both of Aynor, SC, and Cannon Reynolds of North Carolina; one brother, Steven (Sarah) Reynolds of Burlington; three sisters, Maria (Jeremy) Shafer of Burlington, Ashley (Johnathon Vogel) Welch of Burlington, and Nicole (Andrew) Rae of Colorado, his paternal grandmother, Marjorie Reynolds of Sperry, his maternal grandmother, Willadean Roberts of Burlington; his girlfriend, Nicole Witte; two nieces, London Reynolds, Izzabelle Welch; three nephews, Jordy and Hudson Shafer and Everett Rae.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Cecil Eugene Reynolds; his maternal grandfather, George Wayne Roberts; and one uncle, David Allen Reynolds.

Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mr. Reynolds will be 2:00 PM Sunday, August 21, 2016, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Wally Reynolds officiating. Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory following the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
