Terry "Sticks" Bell

Terry "Sticks" Bell, 69, of Burlington, died at 2:40 PM Saturday, August 20, 2016, at his home.

Born June 20, 1947, in Burlington, he was the son of Lawrence R. and Vera Edna Cook Bell. On June 5, 1967, he married Bonnie Lou Giffin in Palmyra, MO. 

Terry was the Foreman for Aldi Bakery for 37 1/2 years.

He graduated from Burlington High School in 1965. 

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam.

He enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; one son, Aaron Bell of Burlington; one daughter, Sandra Bell of Burlington; one granddaughter, "The Golden One" Valerie Cosgriff; one grandson, Mark Bell; two sisters, Vickie Steward and Joan Smith both of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Mark Bell; one brother; Robert Bell, his parents; and one sister, Sharon Phillips.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.

Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM with the family to receive friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The memorial service for Mr. Bell will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Cole Roberts officiating and full military honors rendered by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard.  A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Moose Lodge following the service.

A memorial has been established for his grandchildren's college education.
