Anthony G Hand

Anthony "Tony" Hand, 53, of Burlington, died Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at his home in Burlington.

Tony was born April 17, 1970, in Burlington, IA; the son of James Hand and Patricia (Jacobs) Hand. 

Tony loved spending time outside, especially on the river fishing. When he was not fishing, he enjoyed riding his e-bike or a good game of cribbage. He was known for his caring heart, and desire to help anyone. Friends and family were the most important thing to Tony.  His passing leaves an emptiness, but his memory will be carried by all who love him.

Tony's family include his father, James Hand; mother, Patricia (Jacobs) Hand; daughter, Madison Hand; brothers, Troy (JoAnn) Hand, Darrin Hand, and Brian Hand; nieces and nephews, Jacob Hand, Nicholas Hand, Logan Hand, Jessy (Tori) Hand, and Payton Hand; great nephews Josiah Hand, Royce Hand, and Regal Hand; and close friend, Patricia Heiniger.

Sadly, Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A simple cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory. There are no services scheduled at this time, however a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
