Aunt Bessie was a truly amazing and beautiful being. The last of my mother's "generation", her gift of joyous optimism to all of us will influence our lives always. What a grand lady and what a grand life! She will, of course, leave a big hole in the tapestry, but we are grateful to have had her so long - probably longer than we deserve. Our love and sympathy go to our cousins and their families.

To the entire family,
I am truly honored to have met Bessie Bell!! I enjoyed doing her hair every Friday , her perfect curls , her laughter , her singing to me, and all her wonderful stories she always shared about her family! She was also a very busy woman that it was difficult to realize her age was creeping up on her. She will be missed by so many , but has left us with such special memories! I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Deborah,
I was sorry to read about your mother's death in the Ames Tribune. I met your mother only one time at a Friends of International Women's meeting two years ago. At the age of 99, she was so interesting and so much fun. She made a wonderful impression on so many who met her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Jo Ann Kovar
