Beverly May Smith

Beverly May Smith, 87, of Burlington, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Ridgeview Assisted Living in Burlington.

Born May 10, 1934, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Rudolph Oscar and Ida Mae Rose Fehse Lucas. On March 14, 1954, she married Ralph Leslie Smith in St. John's Church of Flint River Township. He passed away on May 3, 2014.

Beverly was a payroll clerk/bookkeeper for Simpson Security Papers in Burlington.

She was a member of St. John's Church of Flint River Township. Beverly liked to crochet and bake. She loved traveling in the RV with her husband, especially to Arizona to see family. She greatly loved her grandkids.

Survivors include her children, Anthony L. (Chris) Smith of Mountain View, WY, June L. (Kim) Morgan of Burlington, Rosemary I. (Kevin) Blint of Fort Madison; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 brother, LaVerne R. (Paula) Lucas of Burlington.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lyle Lucas.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

The memorial service for Beverly will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Wally Reynolds officiating. Family will greet friends prior to the funeral service.

A memorial has been established for St. John's Church of Flint River Township.
