Brenda O'Brien Obituary

Brenda A. O'Brien, 49, of Burlington, died at 8:21 AM Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at her home in Burlington.

Born June 8, 1972, in Warner Robbins, GA, she was the daughter of Larry and Song (Kim) Richardson. She was previously married to Eric O'Brien and after their separation, she was later engaged to Dalton Bird.

She worked previously as a CNA at The Kensington in Fort Madison. Brenda enjoyed reading poetry and books,watching tv, listening to music and craft painting. She loved her dogs and her family.

Survivors include her parents; children, Emily (Gavin Springsteen) O'Brien and Matthew O'Brien both of Burlington; fiancé, Dalton Bird of Burlington; sister, Judy (Lance) Gardner of Panama City, FL, brother, Paul (Christy) Richardson of Burlington; her finance's parents, John & Lorrie Bird of Fort Madison; sister-in-law, Heather (Daniel) Moore of Fort Madison; brother-in-law, Ian (Josh) Sanders of Greensville, TX; many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and her faithful companions, Camille & Freya.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, uncle and aunt Roger & Linda Richardson and her uncle Mike Rutter.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
