Carole L. Miles

Carole Lynn Miles, 59, of Burlington, died Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

Born January 23, 1965, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Burdette Arthur "Burt" and Gloria Irene Bare Voss. On May 21, 2022, she married Rick Miles in Burlington. 

Carole was a Paraeducator Professional for West Burlington.

Carole had an immense love for her friends as well as her family. She enjoyed crafting, the pool and was an avid animal lover, from rats to lizards. 

Survivors include her husband, Rick Miles of Burlington; two children, Lauren Turner and Ben Turner both of Burlington; step-daughter, Teonna  Dowell of IL; three grandchildren, Cameron Smith, Aaliyana Lewis, and Kaella Lewis; two sisters, Barbara Voss of Lake Mills, WI and Diane Wolfe of Olathe, KS; two fur babies, Gemma and Roxy

She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, Rick Turner, and step-daughter, Nicole Beeding.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Carole's family will receive guests for visitation at Prugh Funeral Service (3940 Division Street, Burlington) on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 1 pm.

A celebration of life for Carole will be held at 5:00 pm Friday, March 1, 2024, at Wake and Bake Breakfast Company.
