Charles Thomas, 84, of Burlington, died Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born May 26, 1940, in Minter City, MS, he was the son of Roy and Florence Carney Thomas.
Charles worked for over 40 years as a semi truck driver. He loved traveling and his job took him to all corners of the United States. When he wasn't working he enjoyed building three wheeled motorcycles and working on cars. Charles loved talking with people and never met a stranger. He loved to joke around with everyone he met and usually had a smile on his face. Charles will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue on through all who love him.
Charles' family includes his wife of 35 years, Karen; his children, Stanley Thomas, Mike Thomas and Christine Reynolds; sisters, Bonnie Partridge and Brenda Smith. Sadly, Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Roy; and siblings, Frances O'Bryant, James Roy Thomas, Dorothy Hall, Ann Marie Reynolds, and Katie May Phillips.
Charles was laid to rest at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Prugh Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements.
