Christy Lynn Anderson

Christy Lynn Anderson , 30, of Burlington, died Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born September 6, 1992, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Christopher Mauro and Cindy and David Anderson. 

She worked for Wilson Rentals cleaning apartments and previously at Shokai Sushi.

She enjoyed spending time with her friends and hanging out on the river. She loved all the Buffalo, NY sports teams and going to Bee's games with her father. 

Survivors include her mother and father, Cindy and David Anderson of Burlington; maternal Grandmother, Patricia Duszynski of Burlington; paternal grandparents, Helen Anderson of West Seneca, NY and Nicholas Mauro of Lancaster, NY; her furbabies, Oreo and Zoey; two aunts, Shelly Duszynski of Salem, OR and Elizabeth (Katie Miller) Mauro of Hamburg, NY; two uncles, William G. Anderson, Jr. of West Seneca, NY and Mark (Debra) Duszynski of Texas; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Frederick Paul Duszynski, paternal grandmother, Donna Mauro, and paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, William G. and Myrna Anderson. 

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

The celebration of life for Christy will be at 12:00 PM Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the large shelter house in Crapo Park.
