Obituary

Coleen Kay Klevjer, 84, of West Burlington, died Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.

Born April 25, 1939, in Oelwein, IA, she was the daughter of Wren and Nettie Adrian Vargason. On August 9, 1956, she married Merle Walters. She later married Harry Klevjer on October 18, 1997. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2004.

She enjoyed collecting books, bird watching, puzzles and listening to music. She especially loved spending time with her family and being a Nana.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Ida M. Walters of West Burlington; grandchildren, Kimberly (Kip) Walters-Saben of West Burlington, Daniel (Kellie) Walters of West Burlington, Kayla Richardson and Jacob Richardson; great-grandchildren, Jabari, Jayden, Jo'dyiah and Adrian; sister-in-law, Aggie Varagason; grand fur-babies, Lego, Sig, Max, Gizmo, Dio, and Eddie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, brothers, LaVern (Kate) and Marion Vargason, son, Robert Walters, daughter, Jody Richardson, and grandson, Matthew Richardson.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
