Darleen Elizabeth Baker, 74, of Buckeye, AZ, formerly of Burlington, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at the Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.

Born November 28, 1942, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Vernon Harold and Mary Elizabeth (Newman) Baker. She married Robert Lee Brown Jr. and they later divorced. 

Darleen worked for Case, Burlington Northern, and the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant.

She was a member of St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was also a member of AARP. She liked the TV show The Walking Dead, wolves, puzzles,  loved all of her grand kids, loved playing with her grand dogs (Roadie being her favorite), spending time with her friends and family and talking on the phone with them.

Survivors include her three sons, Craig A. Brown of Middleport, OH, Scott D. Brown of Buckeye, AZ, Jason Lee Flowers of Burlington;  two daughters, Janette (Randy) Allen of Burlington, Christel Brown of Buckeye, AZ; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; step-mother, Mary Baker of Burlington; two half-sisters, Janice (Michael) Baker Clarke of Camden, NJ,  Lora (Mack) Baker Turner of Burlington; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, "Touchdown" Tony Baker and David Baker, and one grandson, Tyson Lee Johnson.

The memorial service for Ms. Baker will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Reverend Shane A. McCampbell officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church service. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.

A memorial has been established.
