David Bowen

David Bowen, 66, of Burlington, died Saturday, August 9, 2025, at his home.

Born January 16, 1959, in Eau Claire, WI, he was the son of William Charles and Idella Oline Olson Bowen. On July 1, 2001, he married Jo-Etta Renee Chambers in Burlington. She preceded him in death on August 31, 2016.

David had worked many jobs over the years which would include; playing Santa for the kids, flea markets, Anderson's market and selling Christmas Trees.

He enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, watching wrestling and attending flea markets.

Survivors include his mother, Idella Oline Bowen of Burlington; three sons, Donald (Sarah) Bowen of Burlington, Dennis Bowen of Burlington and Chris (Marines) Pilkington of Swansea, SC; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Rebecca Roxanne Stevens of Burlington.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his father.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
