Denise Rae Oldham

Denise Rae Oldham, 64, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Burlington died Saturday, October 24, 2020, at her winter home in Yuma, AZ.

Born April 3, 1956, in Muscatine, she was the daughter of Leonard and Marilyn Murray Kemp. On January 30, 1998, she married Richard Oldham in Burlington. They celebrated 43 years together this year. 

Denise worked as an accountant for over 40 years in Burlington and Kansas.

She enjoyed traveling in their R.V. across the United States, watching sports, playing golf, bike riding, and jazz and blues music. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. 

Survivors include her husband, Richard Oldham of Sioux Falls, SD; two daughters, Kelly (Andrew) Lawler of Burlington, and Kari (Aaron) Foutch of St. Peters, MO; two sons, Curtis Oldham of Lawrenceville, GA, and Sean (Michele) Oldham of Kennesaw, GA; 10 grandchildren: Allie Worthy, Karlie Lawler, Kassidy Lawler, Kaely Lawler, Dayton Elliot, Keeshon Oldham, Autum Wolski, Cameron Oldham, Carter Newcomb, and Gavin Briegleb; two great-grandchildren: Chloe and Kenadie Worthy; one brother, Denny (Marla) Kemp of Ankeny; and one sister, Dana (Craig) Bonnichsen of Grandview as well as numerous nieces nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one grandson, C.J. Oldham.

The memorial service for Denise will be 12:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

Following the service, the family invites everyone to a celebration of Denise's life. Depending on weather, the event will either be held at the 40 & 8 Park or the Burlington Gym.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Hospice of Yuma, AZ.
