Dennis James Wiley Sr., 67, of Mount Pleasant, died at 3:05 PM Saturday, July 10, 2021, at his home.

Born December 14, 1953, in Burlington, IA, he was the son of Alvin Owen and Dorothy Frances Barkus Wiley.

Dennis worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe for 45 years.

He enjoyed socializing at his favorite bar, Rumors, fishing and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.

Survivors include his son Dennis "DJ" Wiley Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; one granddaughter, Sophia Wiley; sister, Dianna Rounds of Burlington; two brothers, Terry Wiley of West Burlington and Jerry Wiley; and his good friend, Kevin Murdock of Mt. Pleasant.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Travis Owen Wiley.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

There will be no visitation or services.
