Dianne Bensch

Dianne L. Bensch of Enterprise, AL, formerly of Burlington, IA, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021. She was 74.

Dianne was born in Burlington on July 8, 1946 to the late Edward J. and Christine Behtz.  She was a 1964 graduate of Burlington High School. On July 8, 1980, she married Kurt Bensch.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and a proud Army wife. Dianne was honored to receive the Superior Civilian Service Award.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Kurt Bensch; children, Howard Edward Morris (Kate), Tara Sue Morris,  Kurt G. Bensch III (Miranda); sister, Barbara Jean Foster; brother, Edward Behtz; one daughter-in-law, Carrie Morris; grandchildren, Carol, Misty, Kyle, and Jade Morris, Burton James Bensch; Joshua Morris (Alyse), and Jeffrey Morris(Chance); great-grandchildren, Zane and Brooklyn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey Allen and Richard Lee. 

A memorial service was held in Enterprise, AL on Thursday, July 8, 2021.  Graveside service and burial will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.  

A memorial has been established for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in honor of her son, Jeffrey Allen, who died from the disease.
