Dianne Faith Stevens

Dianne Faith Stevens, 82, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20th, 2026.

Dianne was born on February, 25th, 1944 to parents, John Wesley and Ruth Madell (Howell) Grossman in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Des Moines Tech. High School.

She married the love of her life, Charles Walter Stevens Sr., on December 6th, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa and was blessed with six children: Charles W. Stevens Jr., Daniel W. Stevens, Denise F. Austin, Tamara S. Mumme, James A. Stevens, and Jerry A. Stevens. She was a faithful wife and mother to them.

Through the years, she served as a Pastor's wife in Burlington, Iowa. In her later years, she moved to Saint Joseph, Missouri with her husband and they became devoted members of Riverside Baptist Church.

Dianne was an avid enjoyer of puzzles, games, and scrapbooking. She loved her grandkids and great grandkids and loved playing games and sending birthday cards to each one. But, most of all, she loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, and mind, and was thankful in all things, even death.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Charles Walter Stevens, Sr.; Children, Charles W. Stevens Jr., Daniel (Jenny) W. Stevens, Denise F. (Richard L. Austin) Stevens-Austin, Tamara S. (David R. Mumme) Stevens-Mumme, James A. (Stacey) Stevens, and Jerry A. (Tracy) Stevens; Grandchildren, Jacob, Danielle, Zachary, April, Joel, Tucker, Andrew, Joseph, Kathleen, Katelyn, Tyler, Logan, Breanna, Mateo, Tomas, Sela, Ruth, and Olivia; and 33 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by, parents John and Ruth Grossman; John W. Grossman Jr.; Joanne Lees; Gene Grossman; Beverly Caley; and Karl Grossman.

A visitation for Dianne will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. 

A Funeral Service will be at Prugh Funeral Home located at 3940 Division Street Burlington, on Monday, August 24th, 2026 starting at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Riverside Baptist Church.
