Don Murphy

Donald "Don" Lee Murphy, 82, of Burlington, died Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the OakView Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington.

Born September 8, 1943, in Moline, IL, he was the son of Harley Russell and Ethel Helen Johnson Murphy. 

He was a graduate of Central Lee High School.

Don served his country in the Army National Guard. 

He worked as an over the road truck driver. Don loved traveling around the country and visiting new places along the way.

When he wasn't on the road he was watching the races or old westerns. 

Survivors include his daughter, Kelly Bruner; sister, Pat Courtney of Burlington; Jay Dee (Stephanie) Courtney of Dallas, TX; two great nephews, Jack and Jared of TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew, Chris Allen Courtney and brother-in-law, Jerry Courtney.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date
