Doris Mae Siverly

Doris Mae Siverly, 92, of Burlington, died Saturday, May 4, 2024, at her daughter's home in Burlington.

Born March 9, 1932, in West Burlington, IA, she was the daughter of Roy Albert Edwin and Eva Mae Stephenson Nelson. On July 22, 1951, she married Jerry Siverly in Burlington. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2022.

She graduated from Burlington High School in 1949. Dorris worked for Harry S. Flodin Co. for 15 years, Wagner Elevator for 8 years and then for Mediacom for 10 years.

Doris enjoyed RV camping, making greeting cards, email correspondence, going out to eat, reading and most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her daughter, Yvonne (T. Scott) Minton; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and one niece.

Besides her husband of 71 years, she was preceded in death by her parents, son, Thomas Siverly, and her sister, Betty JoAnn Nelson Wilson.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

A celebration of life will be held later this summer.
