Edith Reighard

Edith Reighard, 82, of Burlington, died at 10:15 PM Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the OakView Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington.

Born August 6, 1938, in Fairfield, IA, she was the daughter of Edwin Earl and Elsie Evelyn Everett Middleton. She married Kenneth Larry Reighard. They later divorced.   She married Ed Mohnike. They later divorced.

She graduated from Fairfield High School. 

Edith worked at Exide for 22 years.

She loved her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, going to the casino, Sterzing's Potato Chips, and her favorite drink, diet coke.  

Survivors include one son, Kory Reighard of Burlington; one daughter, Karla Andries of Burlington; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Ann Wright of Birmingham, IA.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Kent, one brother, Donald, and one sister, Ruth Hintz.

Visitation will be from noon until 5:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. Due to Governor Reynolds mandate regarding funeral gatherings, attendees are requested to pull under the front awning and stay in their vehicles until ushered inside.

A memorial has been established in her memory.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory following the visitation.
