May I add to my previous posting?? I just viewed the memorial video and it was so moving. To see him grow from a toddler to a family man with so many loving people surrounding him...and to see him dance...one of his favorite things to do when he was working with his big machines at his acreage...was just beautiful. Well done and thank you for sharing. Mel...he's still dancing.

Thanks Becky for all of the wonderful comments about dad. I'm glade you enjoyed the photos. I had so many pictures of dad to chose from it was difficult to trim it down to the ones I picked.

I wanted to send my condolences to you and all of your family Mel. I am currently in Colorado with my grandchildren and only heard today about Ed. I'm sorry I can't be at the service in person. I have always had great respect for Ed both professionally and personally. I always enjoyed our conversations over the years and thought of him as such a kind person. Where have all the years gone? I know you must have so many happy memories that I hope will help sustain you at this difficult time. You are in my thoughts.

Dear Mel and Family, An icon has passed on. Ed was the epitome of 'gentleman and scholar.' He could light up a room with his smile! And
he could always tell when we were celebrating something with food. 😄 Ed handled faculty and staff with equal respect and kindness, and commanded the same in return. I loved working with him and learned so much from him. I stopped by Blair House about a month ago and found him fast asleep. I wished for him then a speedy flight to his B-52 base in the sky. Much love to all.

Ed was the SCC north campus director who hired me in 1993. I have always admired and respected him as a colleague and friend. I thank him now for his service to our country!
