Elisa Clementina (Bisi) Wallace

Elisa Clementina Wallace, 100, of Burlington, died at 2:28 AM Saturday, November 6, 2021, at her home.

Born June 26, 1921, in Piacenza, Italy, she was the daughter of Carlo and Maria Sartori Bisi. On October 25, 1946, she married Richard Newton Wallace in Piacenza, Italy. He later passed on August 14, 1995.

Elisa was of the Catholic faith. She loved gardening, animals, and feeding the birds. She enjoyed traveling the world. We went on several cruises and visited family in Argentina and Italy many times over the years. Some of her other favorite travels were with her husband, taking their camper all over the United States. A true homemaker, she was a wonderful cook. She was an incredible woman whose family meant everything to her. She was a very dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her five children, Charles (Jackie) Wallace of Houston, MN, Maria Wallace of Kansas City, MO, Louis (Linda) Wallace of Burlington, Robert  (Linda) Wallace of Ottumwa, IA, and Tony (Melissa) Wallace of Carman, IL; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

A Memorial Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday, November 27, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Burlington Special Needs Foundation.
