Elizabeth Gertrude Daniels

Elizabeth Gertrude Daniels, 69, of Burlington, went to be with the Lord at 3:55 PM Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Born March 30, 1952, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Johnny and Allomie Franklin Ellis. She was married to John Daniels II to which they later divorced and then she spent 37 years with the love of her life Lawrence Reed.  

She was a sorter with the United States Postal Service. Her pride and joy was her family especially her grand babies, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed singing,drawing and cooking.

Survivors include her spouse, Lawrence Reed of Burlington, IA; four children, Lawernce Ellis, Curtis (Cindy) Ellis, Permelia Ellis and John Daniels; one adopted daughter, Patrice Smith; her grandchildren, Lennell Ellis, Lanora Ellis, Arnez Ellis, Jose Ellis, Curtis Ellis, Teona Harper, Lakendra Ellis, Shimiyah Ellis, Lania Ellis, Shazariah Hibbett, Trinely Ellis, Earl Ralley, Kermontae Wellington,  Keon Perkins, Keshawn Perkins, Kemar Perkins, Dasia Kirkpatrick, Nacunia Ellis, Kialyah Grice, Gail Daniels, Dontrell Rice, Shavon Hibbett, Shaquania Hibbett, and Shakkiel Ellis; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, Curtis Ellis;   nieces and nephews, Kimberly Williams, Dwayne Williams, and Carmerodetta Jones; and  great-nieces and nephew, Timothy Williams, Deborah Williams, Dhakiyah Bell,  Arrielle Enhroning, Orrion Fleliceo, Avari Jones, Camarion Jones, Donvan Ellis, and Lashonna Ellis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters; Teresa Ellis and Gail Daniels, one grandson Aaron Ellis, and one sister, Regina Williams.
