Eric Aaron Parton

Eric Aaron Parton, 62, of West Burlington, died Sunday, June 21, 2026, at his home.

Born May 2, 1964, in Kirksville, MO, he was the son of Joseph William and Linda King Parton.

He graduated from Burlington High School in 1981. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from August 15, 1984 until November 16, 1986. Eric worked for the Great Wall Restaurant for over 20 years.

He enjoyed going to casinos, watching sports and watching tik-toks. 

Survivors include his mother, Linda (Floyd "Jim") Remick of West Point; brothers, Danny Whitmore and Chad Parton both of Burlington; sisters, Lisa (Dale) Jessop of Burlington and Tanya (Blaze Gilchrist) Parton of Davenport; three nieces, Jenni (Christian) Diaz, Jessica Ngo, Christina Ngo; three grandnieces, Aaliyah and Isabella Diaz, and Sky Sainz.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and brother, Jamie Parton.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
