Gail Springsteen

Gail Ilene Springsteen, 66, of Burlington, died at 8:00 PM Thursday, February 18, 2021, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born October 12, 1954, in Des Moines County, IA, she was the daughter of Harry "Barney" Edward and Fern "Hannah" Irene Brown Springsteen.

She worked at the Burlington Basket Company for over 20 years. 

Gail was a hardworking woman and would help anyone when she could. She had a bright and spunky personality. She loved family get togethers and spending time with her dogs. She liked to watch Westerns and crime shows and movies. She enjoyed collecting owl figurines. 

Survivors include three sons, Shawn (April) Lieb, Steven (Shay) Lieb, and Shane Lieb all of Burlington, IA; 22 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Chester "Chet" Springsteen of Wapello, IA; three sisters, Sherry Hartz of Wapello, IA,  Becky Harvey of Middletown, IA, and Sandra Smith of Macomb, IL; and eight nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Chad Sattler, grandson Chad Jr., and two brothers. 

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

The Graveside Committal Service for Mrs. Springsteen will be 10:00 AM, Friday, June 18, 2021 at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
