Jacqueline Rae Furman, 73, of Burlington, died at 3:27 PM Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born September 8, 1947, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Jack Berton and Daphne Ruth White Willson. On April 27, 1967, she married William Furman Burlington.
Jackie worked for Pacific Bell & Lendi Pen in California, she was a waitress at Hungry Bear, Wonder Bread Store, owned Aristocrafts in Burlington, and took care of people in their homes. She always considered herself a "domestic engineer".
She enjoyed sewing, crafts, ceramics, macramé, making silk flower arrangements, and reading, especially romance novels. She considered herself the original bedazzler. She was always helping others and giving to multiple organizations like: ASPCA "American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals", Boys Town, and various Indian Youth Organization and Schools. What Jackie loved the most was when she was able to spend time with all of her family.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; three sons, Robert (Helen) Furman of Huntington Beach, CA, Donald (Stefannie) Furman of Burlington, and Brian (Lubna) Furman of Sterling Heights, MI; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one on the way; one brother, Richard (Wilma) Willson of New London, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronald Willson.
Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Jackie will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Kendall Adams officiating.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials have been established for St. Joseph's Indian School, ASPCA or Boys Town.
