James Randall Richardson, 54, of Burlington, died Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at his home.
Born January 18, 1970, in Iowa City, he was the son of Randall Richardson and Karen Butts Richardson West.
He was a 1988 graduate of Burlington High School.
James was most recently a welder at Addison Mechanical. He previously worked at WalMart Warehouse in Mt. Pleasant and in construction.
He enjoyed cooking, making welded art, painting and playing "Pass the Pigs". He loved being outdoors and he was proud of the way he maintained his yard. He loved his cat, Squeaks!
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Karen and Clinton West of Burlington; life partner, Carla Bell of Burlington; daughter, Miranda Richardson of Burlington; son, Hayden Richardson of Burlington; grandson, Zeppelin Sena; and brother, Shane Michael Richardson of Wapello.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Betty and Howard Butts, paternal grandparents, Melvin and Juanita Richardson and two maternal uncles.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established to care for his family.
