Jamie Wiseman

Jamie Wiseman, 50, of Burlington, died at 7:55 PM Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born September 19, 1971, in Sigourney, IA, she was the daughter of Marion and Linda Kinsler Short. On May 27, 2010, she married Byron N. Wiseman at the West Burlington Methodist Church.

Jamie was a homemaker. She also helped with odd jobs and painting.

She enjoyed morel hunting and going fishing. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family. 

Survivors include her mother and father, Linda and Marion Short; husband, Byron N. Wiseman of Burlington; one son, Jules Short of Burlington; one daughter, Ashley Wilson of Burlington; two grandchildren, Zander, Vinnie, and one brother, Jeff Short of Mount Pleasant, IA.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her sister, Julie Short.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Per the families wishes, there will be no visitation or services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
