Jon William Fedler, 67, of Lexington, MO, died Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Burlington, IA.
Born January 17, 1959, in Fort Madison, IA, he was the son of Leroy James and Vera Kathryn Brown Fedler.
Jon worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for several businesses over the years, while living in Los Angeles and Chicago before moving and then retiring in Lexington.
He had an artistic side and found joy in creating jewelry. Jon loved getting lost in books, movies, and videos that explored history, ancient civilizations, and science fiction. He particularly enjoyed and appreciated trips to Mexico with friends in his younger years. Though quiet, Jon was knowledgeable and wouldn’t hesitate to express his opinion on a subject in a succinct, but usually humorous, manner.
Survivors include his father, Leroy Fedler of Burlington; sister, Kathy Fedler Moorman of Longmont, CO; two nephews, Zachary (Maggie) Moorman and Nicholas Moorman; several aunts and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother-in-law, Timothy Moorman.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
