Judith Hope Walz, 79, of Fort Madison, died Friday, February 19, 2021, at Solon Nursing Center in Solon, Iowa.
Born June 13, 1941, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Edgar Paul and Mary Jane (Shoemaker) Mattson. On December 21, 1966, she married John "Tony" Walz.
She graduated from Burlington High School.
Judy's greatest joys in life were traveling with Tony, time spent with family, sewing, collecting teapots and other things she found beautiful, and she had a deep love for all things Christmas.
Survivors include her husband, Tony of Fort Madison; five children: Rick (April) Miller of Dallas City, IL, Robin (Wade) Stoermer of Columbia, MO, Layne Randolph of Healdsburg, CA, Toni Shottenkirk of Quincy, IL, John (Stacie) Walz of Swisher, IA; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, David, Gary and Steven, and sisters, Paulette and Lana.
