Kathleen Marie Johns

Kathleen Marie Johns, 80, of Burlington, died at 9:05 AM Saturday, January 15, 2022, at her home.

Born July 9, 1941, in Akron, IA, she was the daughter of John "Jack" and Amelia Lambert Henrich. In 1959, she married Donald G. Hoffman with whom she had five children. They later divorced. On September 8, 1981, she married Arthur Franklin Johns in Burlington, Iowa. He later died on April 23, 2012.

She was a devout Catholic, with a strong faith. She enjoyed square dancing, bingo, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Survivors include her four children, Irene, Richard, James, Sharon; one step-daughter, Carla; and lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Donald, two step-children DaNel and Bradley, two sisters and two brother-in-laws.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

The Memorial Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Johns will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Divine Mercy Parish-St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Very Rev. Father Marty Goetz as the Celebrant. A time of food and fellowship will be held in St. John's Cafeteria following the service. Burial will be in Akron, IA at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name and can be sent to her daughter Sharon; 3918 225th St. Oakville, IA 52646.
