Lawrence Henry Obituary

Lawrence A. Henry, 69, of Keithsburg, died at 7:50 AM Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at the OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.

Born May 29, 1951, in Illinois, he was the son of Frederick and Esther Goassage Henry. On February 14, 1970, he married Bonnie Amerine in Sciota, IL . 

Larry worked for the Henderson County Sheriff's Department.

He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

He was of Christian faith and was a member of the Keithsburg Christian Church. Larry enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, to whom he was affectionately known as "Teddy Bear".

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Henry of Keithsburg, IL; one brother, Gary (Connie) Henry of Carman, IL; one sister, Patty (Wayne) Yetter of LaHarpe, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Shannon Christopher Henry, two brothers, Bob and Leon Henry and one sister, Barbara Hensley. 

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

The Graveside Committal Service for Mr. Henry will be 11:00 AM, Friday, July 2, 2021 at Keokuk Nation Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the service will meet at the Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home prior to the service for a procession departing at 10:00 AM to the cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held at Carman Community Center, 742 Jennings Street, Carman, IL 61425, following the burial.

Memorials have been established for the Henderson County Ambulance Service and West Central Heat Booster Club.
