Linda J. Hofmann

Linda J. Hofmann, 80, of Burlington, died Monday, December 23, 2024, at the OakView Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington.

Born July 10, 1944, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Earl and Helen Conlee Bechtel. In August of 1967, she married Fred Hofmann at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Burlington. 

She graduated from Burlington High School. Linda was an in home day care provider for many years.

She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Linda enjoyed traveling, playing cards, Bingo and cooking for her family. Linda loved spending time with her grandsons and enjoyed taking them out to lunch after church.

Survivors include husband, Fred Hofmann of Burlington; son, Chad (Mary) Hofmann of West Burlington; two grandchildren, Brandon (Shelby) Hofmann and Colin (Brynn) Hofmann; two step-grandchildren, Sidney and Spencer Ellsworth; great-grandson, Theo Hofmann; brother, Gary Bechtel of Burlington; three sisters, Marlene Jacobs, Tina Olomon and Brenda (Kevin) Graham all of Burlington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronald Bechtel.

The Graveside Committal Service for Linda will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2024, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Reverend David J. Yonker officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for the Kids Camp.
