Linda Krantz, 81, of Burlington, died Saturday, July 11, 2026, at her home.
Born September 25, 1944, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Arthur Frank and Helen Martha Nelson Zaiss. On December 2, 1967, she married Wayne Harry Krantz in Nowata, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2021.
She graduated from Burlington High School in 1962. She would later earn a Master Degree in Social Work from Kansas State College of Pittsburg.
Linda was known for her caretaking of others. She worked with teenage mothers while she was living in Tulsa, OK, took care of her parents before they passed away, and many friends in need as well. Linda will be fondly remembered for the love she showed to her husband, children, five grandsons and one granddaughter. She also loved her many cats. She was an avid reader and loved to bake cookies for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Art Krantz of West Burlington, and his four children, Dylan (Shania) Krantz of North Liberty, Zachery Krantz of Iowa City, IA, Andrew Krantz of Burlington, Spencer Krantz of Indianola, IA; daughter, Wendy Conlee of West Burlington, and her two children, Nicholas Conlee of West Burlington and Caitlyn Conlee of Cedar Falls, IA.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shirley Zaiss Johnson.
A private family burial will be held at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
