Linda S. Mason

Linda S. Mason, 80, of Burlington, died Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Addington Place in Burlington.

Born September 4, 1943, in Champagne-Urbana, IL, she was the daughter of William Franklin and Emily Nadine Wooderson Senn. On May 31, 1963, she married Ronald Wayne  in Macomb, IL. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2017.

She was a graduate of Macomb High School in Macomb, IL. 

Linda was a homemaker.

Linda loved horses, whether just seeing them or riding, even up to about a year ago, they brought her joy. She loved animals of all kind, especially cats. She enjoyed knitting when she was younger, talking politics, and was a fan of the Chicago Bears and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Survivors include her son, William Scott (Kellie) Mason of Burlington; two grandchildren, Ian Scott Mason and Aubree Renee Emily Mason; one brother, John Christian (Carol) Senn, IV; one nephew, Brian Mason; and three nieces, Jenny Senn, Terri Burnham, and Megan Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; husband's nephew, Greg John; and husband's niece, Julie Aten.

There will be no visitation or services. She, along with her husband, donated her body to the University of Iowa for medical research.
