Lisa Jo Jessop, 59, of Burlington, died Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born June 8, 1967, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Joseph William and Linda King Parton. She married Dale Eugene Jessop in Burlington and they spent over 40 years together.
Lisa worked for HyVee and Walmart for many years. She also worked for Optimae for a few years.
She had a deep faith and attended Harmony Bible Church. Lisa had a heart of gold, always showing kindness and compassion to others. Her warm spirit and genuine care touched the lives of everyone she met, leaving a lasting and positive impact. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Dale of Burlington; three daughters, Jenni (Christian) Diaz of Burlington, Jessica Ngo of South Carolina, Christina Ngo of California; three granddaughters, Aaliyah and Isabella Diaz, and Sky Sainz; three step-children, Mellisa Jessop of Bloomfield, Kristina Kaelin of Ottumwa, and Ryan Carr of Virginia; nine step-grandchildren; her mother, Linda (Floyd "Jim") Remick of West Point; brothers, Danny Whitmore and Chad Parton both of Burlington; sister, Tanya (Blaze Gilchrist) Parton of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers, Jamie and Eric Parton, grandmother Sadie King.
There will be no formal services at this time.
