Lorraine Ann Laughlin

Lorraine Ann Laughlin, 91, of Burlington, died at 6:15 PM Friday, February 5, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. Upon her passing, she was able to give the gift of life through the Iowa Donor Network.

Born November 30, 1929, in Alden, IA, she was the daughter of Everett Harm Briese and Grace Lettow. On Febraury 24, 1958, she married William Laughlin in Alden IA.

She graduated from Dows High School in 1947.

Lorraine was an Accounts Payable Manager for McKesson and Robbins, an Office manager for Rural Electric Association in Iowa Falls, IA for 8 years, and finally retired after working customer service for Farmers and Merchants Bank for 20 years.

Lorraine was active in the PTA and she was a Home Room mother. She loved all dogs, and loved to play cards.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, William Laughlin of Burlington, one daughter, Karanel (Tim) Larson of Burlington, and granddaughter, Natalie Larson of Wilmington, NC.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.

There will be no visitation or services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
