Marcia Glasgow

Marcia Kay Swan Glasgow of Burlington, Iowa, passed away at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice, surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born June 6, 1952, and passed away August 1, 2026.  Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Marcia was a proud 1970 graduate of Burlington High School. She went on to work as a legal secretary and later became a small business owner. Throughout her life, she was known for her dedication, strong work ethic, and deep love for her family. One of the greatest joys of her life was the enduring friendships she shared with her fellow members of the Burlington High School Class of 1970. Those lifelong bonds, built in high school and nurtured over the decades, brought her countless memories, laughter, unwavering support, and cherished annual get-togethers.

On September 4, 1971, Marcia married the love of her life, Ron Glasgow. Together they shared nearly 55 years of marriage and built a loving family that was the center of her life.

Marcia is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ron Glasgow, daughters Ronna Glasgow Keim (David Keim) of Kalispell, Montana, Abbey Glasgow Branch (Robert Branch) of Davenport, Iowa, and son, Adam Glasgow (Sundi Glasgow and her children Riggin and Nolan Simpson) of Burlington, Iowa.  She was an outstanding "Gogo" to her grandchildren Carson Keim, Maddy Glasgow, Isaac Keim, Cassius Keim, Emmy Glasgow, Garrett Keim, Aiden Glasgow and "Sweet" William Branch.  

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Noel Swan and Betty Brandmeyer, her sister and brother, Brenda Seyller and Brent Swan, and her brother-in-law, Craig Glasgow.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.

The funeral service for Marcia will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Prugh Funeral Service with Reverend Anika McVay officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh Funeral Service immediately following the service.

Her family will have a private burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
