Marilyn Ann (Miller) McCrory

Marilyn Ann McCrory, 87, of Burlington, died at 3:30 pm Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born September 21, 1934, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Paul Engelhart and Marjorie Lucille Ogden Miller.

Marilyn worked at the San Diego Public Library, Stephens College Nursery School, Travel Center and Let's Travel. She retired in 1996.

She was a graduate of Burlington High School and Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She also attended the University of Iowa. 

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she served as the organist since 1981. She was a member of the Church Homebuilders Class, United Methodist Women, the church Prayer Shawl Group, and PEO Chapter P. She enjoyed reading, knitting, and loved all animals.

Survivors include two sons; John (Cindy) McCrory and Eric (Terri) McCrory, two grandsons; Michael McCrory, and Alec McCrory, and her beloved cat; Bella Grace.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 PM Friday, October 22, 2021 at Grace United Methodist Church in Burlington.

The funeral service for Marilyn will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 22, 2021, at Grace United Methodist Church with Reverend Tamara Wirt officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Grace United Methodist Church.
