Marjorie Ann Reynolds

Marjorie Ann Reynolds, 87, of Sperry, died at 8:35 PM Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the Danville Care Center.

Born September 11, 1933, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Harry Lloyd and Bessie Esther Farrington Springsteen. On October 7, 1956, she married Cecil Eugene Reynolds in Kalamozoo, Michigan. He later passed on November 8, 2003.

She was a true homemaker who enjoyed baking, especially cakes. She had a green thumb like none other, and reflected that by filling her house with well kept houseplants. She liked to collect angels, and watch the birds and hummingbirds eat from their feeders. She loved to play cards, and she also enjoyed traveling. Most of all, she loved her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Nancy (Jeffrey) Jacobs of Sperry, IA, Debra LeGrand of Kalona, IL, and Sherry (Gary) Schmooke of Calona, IL; two sons, Dennis (KC Hall) Reynolds of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Wally (Michelle) Reynolds of Kingston, IA; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Reynolds of Burlington, 21 grandchildren, and a lot of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren,and great-great-great-grandchildren, brother, Kenneth Springsteen of Burlington, sister-in-law, Donna Springsteen of Burlington, brother-in-law, Richard Dobson of Burlington, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by two sons, David, Larry Reynolds, one infant son, Gary Reynolds, one grandson, David Reynolds, six brothers, and four sisters.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mrs. Reynolds will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Wally Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
