Martha Jo Douglas

Martha Douglas, 84, of Burlington, died Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at her home.

Born July 15, 1941, in Boonesville, IN, she was the daughter of Raydie and Marian Hemmer Beard. On November 12, 1959, she married Richard in Boonesville, Indiana.

Martha retired from Champion Spark Plug after working there for 32 years.  Martha liked visiting with her friends and going out to eat with Richard.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; two sons, Tony (Betty) Douglas of Cedar Rapids and Joseph Douglas of Burlington; three grandchildren, one great grandchild; and one brother, Bruce (Janet) Beard of Rockport, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Prugh Funeral Service.

The funeral service for Mrs. Douglas will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 27, 2025, at Prugh Funeral Service with Pastor Wally Reynolds officiating.
