Mary Susan Wilson

Mary Susan Wilson, 68, of Burlington, died Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born September 24, 1955, in Twin Falls, ID, she was the daughter of Edward Marcellus and Rilla B. Hammock McDade. She married Bill Wilson and together had 2 children. They later divorced. 

Mary graduated from Burlington High School. She continued her education at SCC , where she received a degree in nursing. 

After college, she started working as a RN in Fort Madison before transferring to Burlington Medical Center. She continued working for Great River Medical Center in the Acute Care Unit for many years. 

Survivors include her children Amanda Pace of Burlington, and Andrew Wilson of Flat Lick, KY; grandchildren, Hunter, Brylee, and Landrie; sister, Amy Allen of Burlington; two brothers, Joe (Barb) McDade of Overland Park, KS, and Scott (Kim) McDade of Spring Hill, KS; cousin, Carolyn in Georgia and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, Bill Wilson and dear friend, Tracy Howe.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

There will be no service at this time.
