Megan Ann Koss

Megan Ann Koss, 39, of Burlington, died at 2:40 PM Monday, October 4, 2021, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born April 12, 1982, in Burlington, IA, she was the daughter of Lyle and Ginny Smith Koss. 

She graduated from Burlington High School, then went to Western Illinois University and received her Bachelors of Arts.

Megan loved Jesus and attending church. She had a bachelor of arts, and enjoyed teaching art to everyone. She also enjoyed quilting and wood burning as hobbies and getting ideas from Facebook and Pintrest. She greatly loved her niece and nephews being with them. She loved babysitting children. She was like a bubble, happy, and giggling with her favorite saying being " I know right?". She was crazy about Care Bears and her nickname was "Pie Bear"

Survivors include her father, Lyle (Ranee) Koss of Burlington; her mother, Ginny (Kim Moore) Koss of Burlington; her brother, Steve (Sarah) Koss of Oneida, IL; twin sister, Molly (Nick) Carruthers of Brownstown, IL; her sister, Heidi Swenson of New London; her niece and three nephews, Whitney Koss, William Koss, Korbin Swenson, Parker Carruthers; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her grandparents and one aunt Lynnette Miller

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

The family has requested that all who attend wear a face covering or mask for the services. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The memorial service for Miss Koss will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home . 

A memorial has been established for her expenses.
