Melinda Saltzman

Melinda Saltzman, 39, of Burlington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, alongside her unborn child, at her home in Burlington.

She was born August 8, 1986, in Burlington, to Tina Gerling and Danny White.

Melinda loved hanging out with friends and family, but her greatest joy was her son. She was a devoted mother to Brantlee. She and Brantlee were deeply excited to welcome her newest child, a baby girl, due in November. 

Survivors include her son, Brantlee; three brothers, Ryan (Josee) Nelsen, John "JJ" (Ali) Kephart, Jr., and Jacob Reighard all of IA; mother, Tina Giberson of IL; grandmother, Gloria Reighard of IL; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
