Melody L. Nees, 60, of Burlington, died at 6:47 AM Friday, March 4, 2022, in Burlington.

Born January 4, 1962, in Burlington, IA, she was the daughter of James Paul and Gloria Jean Orton Nees.

She was of Lutheran faith.

Survivors include her life partner, Larry Smith, beloved dog Pearl, many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

There will be no visitation or services.
