Michael Paul Gerhardt Sr.

Michael Paul Gerhardt Sr., 64, of West Burlington, died Saturday, June 29, 2024, at his home.

Born July 25, 1959, in Burlington, he was the son of Charles Henry and Patricia Ann Weicher Gerhardt. On November 18, 1983, he married Diana Kay Chase in Wapello, IA. She preceded him in death on February 3, 2018.

Michael worked for Cessford Construction Company for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Survivors include his daughter, Margo (Ken) White, two sons, Mike (Stephanie) Gerhardt, Jr. and Shane (Megan) Gerhardt; five grandchildren, Ali (Cabel) Witte, Ryan White, Emma Gerhardt, Cole Gerhardt and Chase Gerhardt; one great-grandchild, Mackinzie Kay Witte; two sisters, Cindy Kenney and Kathy Hollenbeck; one brother, Steven Gerhardt and a pack of bad ass nephews.

Besides his wife of 34 years, he was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Teri.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Honoring the memory will be 1:00 PM Friday, July 5, 2024, at the Eagles Club, 2727 Mt. Pleasant St. in Burlington. Private family burial for Mike and Diana will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
