I came into this world Michael Charles Graham to Charles Nathan and Peggy Ilaine (Astfalk) Graham on June 16, 1956, and I took my final journey to be with the Lord on Monday, March 29, 2021...
A friend once said "We all will be remembered for something - what will you be remembered for?" Well, in my family's eyes, I hope I am remembered as a loving and good husband, Dad, teacher, mentor, but above all - an even better friend...
Debra Lynn Kirby and I began our married life together on June 17, 1978. She blessed me with two great gifts when she gave birth to our children - Jennifer Michelle and Seth Michael, and I don't know how to ever thank her for that.
I was extremely fortunate to have a loving family, a career at Burlington Northern Railroad Shops, a multitude of friends, a spirit of people helping people, and hobbies a plenty - but with all of the hunting, fishing, softball, and (let's be honest!) too many more to count; I wondered - is there something missing?
Then Seth met and married Mariah Shawnee Downer, and Jen met and married Jeffery Otis Wagner. I thought "Wow! The good Lord has really blessed Deb and me, to belong to such a loving and wonderful family unit!" But I still felt like there was another piece of us that we had yet to find, so I prayed on it... and low and behold, along came Anderson Charles! Our grandson, my peanut! Thank you for the bottom of my heart for being you Anderson.
So, as you all start a new and challenging chapter in our lives, I just hope that you know that I want the very best for you because you deserve it... Take time out of every day to hug each other, say I love you, say your please and thank yous, and grow to accept the ups and downs, the ins and outs and all the good and bad that life has to offer. Please remember to laugh and cry together, to leap and fly together, and to forgive without acknowledgement of flaw. Keep me in your hearts and your prayers, and until we are all reunited together with the good Lord's grace just remember... you are my sunshine and I miss you already!
