Mildred B. Ertz

Mildred B. Ertz, 88, formerly of Burlington, passed away at 12:11 PM Sunday, March 14, 2021, at a nursing facility in Papillion Nebraska.

Born January 26, 1933, at St. Francis Hospital in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Francis "Pete" B. and Mary Jennie (Thibedeau) Ertz. 

She was an graduate of St. Paul's High School and attended Southeastern Community College for one year.

Mildred was a administrative assistant for many Burlington area doctor's offices for over 40 years.

She enjoyed traveling throughout the US and Germany to visit family with her mother and sisters.

Survivors include one brother, Ernest J. (Shirley) Ertz of Nebraska; two sisters, Marcella F. Ertz of Nebraska, and Marjorie Schmidt of Flower Mound, Texas; nine nieces & nephews, Gerry Hoenig, Colleen Baker, Tara Koestner, Ron Ertz, Sara Schmidt, Phil Schmidt, Mary Schmidt. Michael Ertz and Dan Ertz; several great and great-great nieces & nephews.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Gene, a sister, Lorraine Hoenig, and four nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Ms. Ertz will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 19, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Very Rev. Father Marty Goetz as the Celebrant.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
