Patricia Ann Gerhardt

Patricia Gerhardt, 88, of West Burlington, died Thursday, June 27, 2024, in Burlington, Iowa.

Born December 24, 1935, in Burlington, IA, she was the daughter of Herman Herbert and Kathryn Mae Murphy Weicher. On November 13, 1954, she married Charles Henry Gerhardt in Gladstone, IL.

Patricia graduated from Burlington High School and later worked for the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant for 28 years before retiring. 

Patricia never met a stranger and loved talking with others.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Patricia enjoyed crocheting, bowling, traveling, and going to Notre Dame high school games. She was a big fan of the Cubs. She enjoyed going to Little League with her grandsons.  Family was very important to Patricia. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchildren.   

Family include her children, Steven (Pamala) Gerhardt of Port Isabel, TX, Cindy (A.J.) Kenney of Burlington, IA, Kathy (the late Richard) Hollenbeck of Burlington, IA, and Michael (the late Diane) Gerhardt of West Burlington, IA; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Teri; three siblings; one sister-in-law, one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, and one brother-in-law. 

Cremation has occurred in accordance with Patricia's wishes.

Patricia's family will receive guests for visitation on Tuesday, July 2, 4-6 pm at Prugh Funeral Service (3940 Division Street, Burlington).

She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, IA.

A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Home Health & Hospice.
