Patricia Ann Hingst, 75, of Burlington, died at 5:00 PM Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the Bickford Cottage in Burlington.
Born July 6, 1945, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Thomas A. and Ruth M. Mueller Bresch. On November 15, 1969, she married Richard George in Monmouth, IL. He died May 3, 2020.
Patricia worked for K-mart in Burlington for 14 years as a merchandise coordinator. She also worked as the weekend manager for 10 years at King's Daughters Home.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish. She loved to take cruises and bus trips. She liked to make things. She enjoyed making ceramic items for her home and as gifts. She was a talented quilt maker. She loved making cookies of all kinds and sharing them. She also enjoyed collecting dolls, and made many beautiful ones out of porcelain with handmade dresses.
Survivors include one son, Douglas Hingst of San Francisco, CA; one step-daughter, Diane M. Hingst of Ainsworth, IA; one step brother, Terry L. Woodyard of Glendine, MT; four sisters, Judith Hutson of Wimona, MN, Carol Gerst of Burlington, Elizabeth (Dean) Craig of Portland, ME, and Joyce (James) Ahlschlager of Rockford, MN; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Thomas Bresch Jr. and two sisters, Theresia McKelvey and Sandra Woodyard.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
The Graveside Committal Service for Patricia will be Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM (365 days after the service of Richard the one true love of her life) at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Fr. Marty Goetz officiating.
A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
