Patricia Jarvis

Patricia Carol Jarvis, 73, of Burlington, died at 2:52 PM Monday, March 16, 2020, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born October 5, 1946, in Milton, IA, she was the daughter of Clyde Calvin and Margie Mae Lancaster Miers. In 1968, she married Jerry Detrick in Burlington. They later divorced. In 1998, she married James Russell Jarvis in Burlington. He died September 17, 2015. 

Pat worked for many local companies over the years, including;  Clark Oil for 3-4 years, Burlington Hospital for 2-3 years, Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant for 3 years, Burlington School District for 8 years, and then managed the old Ayerco Station on the corner of Washington and Hawkeye Street which closed in 2005.

She graduated from Fox Valley Community High School in Milton  IA, in 1964. 

She loved to read books and play with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her furry "grandkids". She also loved to watch medical dramas, especially Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and animal planet shows. Pat was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. She was a true animal lover and was very soft-hearted. Pat loved a good margarita. 

Survivors include four daughters, Tammy Gemme of Burlington; Cora Allen of West Helena, AR; Pam Detrick of Burlington; and Jerri Detrick of Burlington; five grandchildren, Jasmine, Kayla, Romeo, Matthew and Madison; four great grandchildren Jamari, Ce'Miah, Jamell and Kaylonna; one sister, Betty Ringold of Burlington; and two nephews, Steve and Brad Ringold.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one niece and one brother-in-law.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Per the families wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life and a Private Burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
